Interested in leading teams, engaging with stakeholders, growing program reach and profile, and genuinely making a difference to the lives of vulnerable children, young people and families?

For over 165 years OzChild has been committed to serving the needs of vulnerable children, young people and families. Its vision would see a society where all children live happily in a safe and caring environment. They have their needs met, have a home in which they are well cared for, well-educated and the support that they need to be the best they can.  Since 2016, OzChild has been implementing a number of evidence based models that strengthen family functioning and improves outcomes across safety, wellbeing and permanency for children and young people.

Based in Edgeworth and working across the central coast, the role offers plenty of autonomy and scope to make your mark.  Reporting to the Director of Services NSW, you will lead and support three teams to deliver the high quality, evidence-based programs Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare (FFT-CW) and, a first for Australia, Functional Family Therapy (FFT).  The role will also have responsibility for developing and managing collaborative relationships and partnerships with government departments, and Aboriginal controlled and other non-government agencies.

This rewarding opportunity will appeal to an experienced leader with a clinical background seeking to genuinely contribute to improving the lives of at-risk children and young people.  Tertiary qualified in social work, psychology or social sciences, ideally to postgraduate level, you bring proven and successful leadership and clinical experience in the not-for-profit or human services sectors and exposure to working with vulnerable children, young people and their families.  With an evident ability to lead and influence positive change initiatives, you enjoy a challenge and possess highly developed communication and interpersonal traits, sound business acumen, and the capacity to successfully engage with and adapt to a wide audience.  Sound like you?
