The ACT Emergency Services Agency sits within the Justice and Community Safety Directorate (JACS) and is responsible for protecting the community and ensuring the ACT is one of the safest in Australia and the world.  It comprises ACT Ambulance Service, ACT Fire & Rescue Service, ACT Rural Fire Service, ACT State Emergency Service and ESA Enabling Services.

This key appointment reports directly to the Commissioner of ACT Emergency Services Agency and contributes as part of a collaborative and energised executive team. The role provides high level strategic leadership across a broad and complex portfolio to ensure effective governance and management structures are in place to enable the delivery of high-quality services across the Agency.  Teams within the portfolio include Workforce Planning, ESA Training, Women in Emergency Services, Wellbeing and Injury Prevention.  You will support the delivery of emergency response capability to the ACT community, ensuring the Agency has the appropriate people capability to deliver responsive services that are consistent with demand.  This will require you to implement workforce planning strategies and lead the implementation of a training continuum for whole-of- agency training.

With significant experience in HR-related fields, such as training, organisational development, policy or IR, you have a track record in leading change initiatives and contributing to building the capability of diverse workforces in complex and dynamic environments.  Your political astuteness, diplomacy, resilience and change management capability will enable you to contribute to the next level of growth and success for this vital agency.  Sound like you?
