Westernport Water is at an exciting phase in its corporate journey with the recent appointment of a new, forward looking executive team, transition to a new organisational structure and cultural change initiatives.  It has created an environment that enables people to be the best they can be and one that not just talks about work-life balance but genuinely lives it.

Reporting to the General Manager – Corporate & People, the role will lead and influence the success and development of the organisation through the management and delivery of high level expertise, guidance and advice.  This includes building and leading a high performing team, developing, implementing and managing a fit-for-purpose strategic business planning framework, managing the delivery of the annual corporate plan, driving accountability and alignment with good governance, monitoring and advising on legislative compliance and acting as Company Secretary to the Board.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to be more than just a ‘cog in the wheel’ to lead, mentor and grow a team, influence change and make their mark on an organisation’s success.  Tertiary qualified you bring significant management experience and exposure to Boards in local government, statutory authorities or broader public sector within governance, strategic planning, corporate law or risk management roles.  An enthusiastic self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine commitment to achieving results, you bring sound political acumen, well-developed communication, interpersonal and change management skills, a flexible, adaptable approach and the capacity to influence and bring new ideas to the table.  Sound like you?
